Default Party and 75/150 \"Peen Inflation\"

Anyone else starting to think that this new blind level (75/150) is a really good thing, not just for ROI but for $/hr - despite the increased length of SNGs?

I only have several hundred since the change, but my 6ths/7ths are well down, and ITM and ROI well up. Too early to tell, but not having to shove some crap hand right away after the 50/100 > 100/200 jump (having more fold equity at the 75/150 and the ability to pay blinds for an orbit and not lose much FE), plus the fact that even when you have lots of chips you get 9 more hands for other players to make overpushing mistakes/you to get a premium-type hand and action, seems to = more $$.

Hopefully I didn't just set up a jinx for a $5k downswing to end the month....

I personally love it also for the same reasons.

I too have had very good results since the new structure. Very small sample, 170 tournaments, so it may just be a good run. I hope not, but I definitely feel as if the new blind level benefits me.

By definition, doesnt it have to favor us? More hands played = more chances for opponents to make mistakes = +EV for us?

Well yes...but the main question boils down to, does it hurt or help $/hr (why ppl are playing party instead of another structure where a higher ROI is possible) or is it just increasing ROI a bit at the slight expense of $/hr.

I'm pretty sure you know this though...

Seeing about the same myself; smaller sample set (about 100-150 tournaments since the change), but my 7ths and lower are way down (to almost non-existent), making it to 4 or 5 handed much more often. (Also, once I get to the bubble, getting a much higher % of 3rds and 4ths instead of 1sts and 2nds, so my ROI is actually down a bit, but I *think* that's coincidental.)

$/hr becomes pointless when you 4-8 table in sets. The added couple of minutes to a SNG doesn't really matter much to me when I'm winding down a set. Also, add me to the list of people who love the new blind level.

I agree that the new blind structure helps us all... I'm currently have almost 250 games at the new structure and my ITM and ROI are both up.

Especially where I'm playing (11s, 22s, just started the occassional 33), I'm finding that a more patient strategy really pays dividends. The extra level gives the fish more rope to hang themselves.

As much as the new structure is working out, I JUST HOPE THAT THERE ARE NO MORE CHANGES! I can deal with 53 minute games, but I don't want PP turning into UB!

Default Further Evidence in Support

I was looking through my Empire stats in Pokertracker (I track Eurobet on Excel since those lazy-arse mfers don't like to send tournament summaries). Usually, if I'm on a torrid stretch my BB/hand at each blind level will reflect that.

Through 171 tournies (small sample size still) it breaks down like this:

10/15 +0.02/hand
15/30 +0.02/hand
25/50 +0.01/hand
50/100 +0.01/hand
75/150 +0.00/hand
100/200 (0.00)/hand
150/300 +0.02/hand
200/400 +0.00/hand
250/500 +0.07/hand
300/600 +0.04/hand

The only number a bit out of whack (suggesting running hot) is 250/500, and 300/600 may be a tad bit high, but...that sure doesn't justify a sick ROI%. It's a 3 times what I'd guess it would be looking at the BB/hand numbers.

Although off topic, does Eurobet write the hand histories to a text file like Empire and Party do (which can be viewed through PT)? Or do they just not email the histories?
