Bad push?
I know this is probably obvious but I am just checking up.
20+2 Blinda are 40/80 UTG (T4000) MP (T3000) Button (T2500) Hero (T890) BB(T3110) Hero is dealt J9o Pre-flop: fold, fold, fold, Hero pushes |

Re: Bad push?
I often push here. It's almost surely +EV against any reasonable calling range the BB could have. It's definitely not mandatory but I'd probably just move allin most of the time. |

Re: Bad push?
Yeah it feels kind of pathetic to move allin for like 11x the BB, but when I'm shortstacked like you are I usually just try to play like an EV grabbing robot. Meaning I don't get fancy with stuff like this and just take the small +EV that I get from pushing. If your hand was faceup here it would be somewhat -EV to move allin, however there is no way your opponent calls with stuff like Q7o, K2o and so on, thus probably vaulting it to a +EV proposition. |

Re: Bad push?
Thanks again. Good post. It was A2o though.

Re: Bad push?
Your opponent called with A2o? Plenty will fold weak aces there. |

Re: Bad push?
I'm waiting for a better spot w/the blinds this small. How bad is that?

Re: Bad push?
Definitely not bad...although I'd probably venture at least a call against most opponents. |
