i saw ichi the killer a few weeks ago, and just got done watching dead or alive. all i can say is

W

T

F

those are some [censored] up movies. nevertheless, i thoroughly enjoyed them. anyone seen these and care to comment, or recommend which of miike's movies to see next?

I didn't think Happiness was that bad... really, really awkward and uncomfortable, but not that bad. If it's being compared to this guy's movies, then maybe they aren't as hardcore as I thought.

Saw some clips from Audition and don't really feel like watching it... not my idea of a good time. The action-oriented ones are an option, though.

happiness is definitely not comparable stylistically or in the type of [censored]-up-ness. but, i still think happiness is a twisted (although very good) movie.

i'd say to check out dead or alive for action...ichi the killer if you want some of the ultra-violence [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]
