Default i want to learn to speak spanish

what's the best way to do it? i'm thinking some kind of home-based learning (cds, software, etc). a class of some sort is not out of the question, but i'd rather do it on my own time.

this thread was helpful, though it didn't answer my question completely

Rosetta Stone is by far the best language education software available. The American government uses it to train their consuls, ambassadors and other staff for foreign posts. And uhh...it's on bit-torrent.
