The elegant universe
If you have any interest in physics, you might find this video interesting:
http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/nova/elegant/program.html It gives a non-technical look at string theory, and how it might one day unify the quantum and the 'real' worlds. I have to give credit to JGorham for sending me the link. Thanks dude! Very interesting stuff. |

Re: The elegant universe
Very good movie. You don't have to be particularly intelligent to watch it either (I saw it).

Re: The elegant universe
The book's even better and I recommend it or The Fabric of the Cosmos (Greene's newest book, basically the same concepts but even easier to follow) to anyone.

Re: The elegant universe
I have it on DVD. I find that Novae tend to get kind of annoying and repetitive. But if you're interested, it's a good place to start, although I think the book is leagues ahead of it.

Re: The elegant universe
This movie was amazing and mind boggling. If you want to watch something equally as fascinating, download or buy The Mind's Big Bang.
