Big Stack ITM, call a reraise?? (Party 11)
Party 11
BB = 400 Seat 1: Hero (button) :: $4330 Seat 4: SB (folds too much) :: $1560 Seat 9: BB decent :: $2110 Dealt to Hero :: T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] Hero raises to 1100 SB folds Decenet BB minraises to 1800. Hero??? I'm not 100% sure whats best here. 1. I'm getting good odds 2. If I fold now I'm still doing well 3. His leaving 300 behind stuck me as a 2 step plan to getting all in |

1. You're getting brilliant odds. I can't see how you can fold this. You're being asked to call 500 in to a pot of 3100.
2. If you get all in here and lose, you're still doing ok. 3. Not quite sure this is a "two step plan" your opponent has got. If he had any sense he would have gone all-in PF. This just looks like a "Ooh trying to push me off my blind eh? well I RAISE! HA! oh-christ-that-was-lots-of-chips". He will most likely push on the flop (which you will naturally call regardless). Edit \/\/ Also what he said. If you're willing to call to the mid-stack here, you should have just pushed in the first place. |

if youre going to make it 1100 then you have to call if either the bb or sb push, I would prob have just pushed instead of raising

You're being asked to call 500 in to a pot of 3100. [/ QUOTE ] I'm being asked to call 700 right now, and probably another 300 later. |

Yes my mistake. Still with those numbers I think you are committed here.

Push preflop. THey both have < 4BB, and don't allow them to outplay you here (like they will have if you fold to the raise).

Re: Big Stack ITM, call a reraise?? (Party 11)
I don't think you can fold here. Let's pretend he's already pushed his stack in, which just corresponds to you pushing over the top. You need to call 1000 for a pot of 3400 or so. 3.4:1 odds preflop are pretty huge; the only hands that you can be up against where you wouldn't be correct to call with those odds on a chip EV level are AA or KK, and he's going to be doing this with plenty of other hands, as well. And yes, while you can fold and still be okay, you can also put another 1000 in and still be okay.
