All Along the Watchtower has got to be a champ on that count.
I don't think Cash's redo of Hurt was as good as the original. I don't think Take Me to the River was an original of The Talking Heads, and I think I heard the original and liked the Heads' version better. Also, Ted Nugent did Cat Scratch Fever way better than the Pope. |

Gary Jules's "Mad World" is far better than the Tears for Fears version. Also, Blind Melon did a cover of "Three is a Magic Number" which is incredible.
