Razz
What happens in Razz if you get 2 pair and someone else gets trips? I don't know how to rank the hands very well and I'm wondering who wins in that situation.

Re: Razz
Just make the worst 5-card hand you can make. With two pair, you'd not use one of the cards from each of the pairs. With trips, you'd not use two of the trips.

Re: Razz
A2345(55), A2345(A2) and A2345(45) are all of equal value in razz (A2345). There's no qualifier in razz, so hands like AA234(AA) and 66789(78) do play (A's are always low in razz, so the AA234 hand beats the 66789 hand in a showdown). If you're asking whether AAA23(xx) or A2233(xx) would win in a showdown, it's irrelevent, AAA23(xx) is an impossible hand to hold. The worst possible hand in Razz is KKKQQ(xx). The next worse non-full house hand is KKJJQ(xx). There's no distribution of cards which makes trips possible without also making a full house the best hand possible.

The worst possible hand in Razz is KKKQQ(xx). [/ QUOTE ] Shouldn't that be QQQKK(xx)? I don't see how you manage to get KKKQQ. Also KKQQJ([QK, KK, QQ]) is worse than KKJJQ. |
