Loose pushes? Call?
PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t150 (4 handed) converter
SB (t925) BB (t7175) Hero (t2025) Button (t3375) Preflop: Hero is UTG with J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. Hero raises to t450, 1 fold, SB raises to t925, BB raises to t7175, Hero ??? I raised hoping the short stack would push and I got my wish, but the chip leader surprised me by pushing as well. Folding leaves me with very few chips (relatively) and if I call and win I have a very respectable stack. Also, if the BB has a monster and the SB and I get eliminated I still make the money. Who calls here? (The buy-in was $33 if it matters.) |

Re: Loose pushes? Call?
I'd call because there is a good chance your hand beats one of theirs and hopefully both.

Re: Loose pushes? Call?
What's BB's range? Can't be that wide, can it? 99-AA, AK-AQ? Against that, JJ is 45% or so, and considering the money in there, I call.
