Default Jeter\'s grand slam

Seriously... how do you let him hit that? I can't believe that's his first slam. Man... I thought the cubbies were actually starting to get things on track.

What a great hit.

Maybe next time Jeter has the bases loaded YES will flash up "ABs with bases loaded without a GS: zero".

And the cubs are a joke. And so are their fans.

Cubs under Baker have the same MO every year: tread water at or around .500 until the ASB, then take off in August/September. Last year didn't work because having Wood/Prior/Zambrano throw 140 pitches/game finally caught up with them. But this bullpen is really really bad and nobody outside of Lee is hitting right now. Hopefully Wood and Prior can come back strong because the starting pitching has been terrible, too (besides Mitre's past two starts).

Another problem is the top of the order. Perez and Patterson never get on base so Lee is always batting with nobody on. Might as well bat Lee leadoff if he's just going to bat with nobody on, get him more ABs.
