Default Tipping for take out

Tonight I ordered some take out pasta for me and the g/f from Johnny Corino's. You phone in your order and 20 minutes later go pick it up. They have 4 stalls where take out orders drive up and push a button, and they bring it to your vehicle. My order was $20.04, I gave the girl $23. Not enough? Too much?

I'm thinking the same thing. Maybe a buck or two but 15 percent?

So... you're not just driving up to a pick-up window a la McDonald's and picking it up, it's more like Sonic or old-school A&W, where you're not right next to the building and someone physically walks out of the building and to your car to bring you the food? I'd give her minimal waitress status and tip a buck or two. I think you did alright.
