Default Investing question

I've got about $10,000 that I would like to invest. I need something short-term and low risk. Any suggestions?

This would be lowest risk and make a decent return. Define short term though, do you mean a couple months, a couple years?

If you know that you definately won't need the money until XXX date then you can look for CD's that will fit. If you may need some of the money at any time, then this regular savings account is best.

Define low risk and short term.

Also what kind of return are you looking for?

Also, no time frame. It's a regular savings account, FDIC insured, but it's all online.
