Default How\'s this? #2

Ive been completey running this table over due to a hot deck, but havent been seeing many showdowns at all. Villain is VERY aggro with draws and is pretty bad. Thats all I have on him.

Party Poker 10/20 Hold'em (6 max, 6 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is SB with K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].
<font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, <font color="#CC3333">MP raises</font>, <font color="#666666">2 folds</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero 3-bets</font>, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, MP calls.

Flop: (7 SB) 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">Hero bets</font>, MP calls.

Turn: (4.50 BB) 2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">Hero bets</font>, MP calls.

River: (6.50 BB) J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">Hero bets</font>, MP calls.

Final Pot: 8.50 BB

I'm check-calling the river against said opponent.

Seems very straightforward, especially given your image.

Edit - What I'd really like to know though is if you'd have considered calling a raise.

I should have mentioned in my original post that yes, I was 100% going to call a raise, as I was almost sure villain didnt have a jack. I also think this is a bit more standard than I originally thought. I think you are probably value betting ak more than me, and it's a leak for me, albeit a small one.

This post made me realize I need to look for more spots to value bet AK as well.

Thanks,

Nigel

I like it. Villain can't have a busted draw to bluff, you've been running over the table without seeing many showdowns, you're in a pot with a bad player... this is the time for an AK value bet.

Will he bluff if you check to him? This is tough without a read. Is he more likely to bluff with QT or call with A9? or is he more likely to fold QT and check behind 44.

Decsions decisions!

given that you havent gone to many showdowns and have given lots of action, I think youll see alot more A high calls here, or value bets if you check, rather than weak bluffs and check behinds. So I like the bet.
