internet vs B&M
does anyone prefer B&M to the internet at similar stakes? If so, why? I find it soooooo boring and getting over downswings takes forever. There is also no tracking software obviously and you dont have an eagle eye view of the table, which I find very helpful schematically. Tell me what the appeal is.

Re: internet vs B&M
what about rake? rake at B&M is a larger % of the pot and you cannot get rakeback or bonuses as you can on the internet. seems like the rake and bonuses would make internet a lot more profitable than B&M games, or do other factors make B&M more profitable?

Re: internet vs B&M
There's just so much more information. A pro can go online and label themself "Frankweaktight" or "callwithsecondpairtotheriver" and you have to watch their bets, and hands shown down, etc, but I can't figure out the difference between a preflop raise with AK, or JJ. Playing live, when you have an opponent pegged, he's right there, and maybe he splashes his chips with a draw or stacks them with a made hand. Or maybe he does neither, but there is just so much more information lying there out on the table...Online to me is like playing with a table full of unabombers...

Re: internet vs B&M
Too easy to cheat on the internet as opposed to B&M. I know people can cheat playing live as well, just so much harder to catch than it is on the internet...

Re: internet vs B&M
i play micro limits online, and prefer playing online. B&M's social aspect is a lot of fun, I have only played LHE 2/4, 3/6, 1/3 Spread, 1/2 NL and had a lot of fun at all of these. I made a decent amount of cash, but let's face it, you're not going to make a living off 1/2, 3/6 or 1/2 NL haha It was a good time, but I'll stick to online play.
I'm sure B&M has it's benefits to the mid-high limit players. But at the micro limits online you don't have to worry about tokes, I really do not mind toking @ B&M, no issues whatsoever..but online is all automated, no dealer to deal with (haha i'm so funny), no waitress to tip when I fetch a glass of water from the fridge... |

Re: internet vs B&M
very good reply. i havent played poker in a casino in about 2 years (since discovering internet poker with bonuses, rakeback, playing 4 games at once) do you think that the ability to read your oppenent and such would close the gap between the profitability of the online game and a game at a casino?

Re: internet vs B&M
are comps worth very much at the average casino? i only ask because i have been playing internet pokr for a while and am considering playing 10/20 at my local casino (Soaring Eagle). I am used to being spoiled on the internet with rakeback, bonuses, multi tabling etc. just wondeing if i would be making a mistake ($$$ wise) in playing 10/20 at a casino instead of the internet. thanks for any advise.
