Party Poker 1/2 Hold'em (9 max, 9 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is UTG with A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].
Hero raises, 2 folds, MP2 calls, 4 folds, BB calls.

Flop: (6.50 SB) 3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (3 players)
BB checks, Hero bets, MP2 folds, BB raises, Hero 3-bets, BB calls.

Turn: (6.25 BB) 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)
BB bets, Hero calls.

River: (8.25 BB) 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)
BB bets, Hero calls.

Final Pot: 10.25 BB

Got confused on the turn here. No way was I folding but didnt know if he was being overaggressive or betting a 7. Although thinking about it now surely 2 pair on the flop would have capped (loiekly having a 7) and since that didnt happen it is more likely that he has top pair?

Am I talking rubbish? Seen this quite abit last night. Was my first go at a new level (had a shot with 200BB from 0.5/1). Chose 9max as opposed to 10max, was that the right decision? Made no changes to my game what soever apart from UTG+2 in 10max is now MP1 in 9max

I think i raise the turn and if he reraises then i call down. looks like hes got top pair to me.

BB's flop play wouldn't make much sense with just 2nd pair, so I'm not putting him on a 7. I'd raise the turn and bet the river if he just calls the raise, calling down if he reraises.

What kind of player is villain? Any idea what kind of hands will he CC an UTG preflop raiser with?

You would expect most players to CR you on the turn if the 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] really helped them.

it seems kind of odd that the villian wouldn't go for a checkraise with turned trips here. i'm not quite a believer yet and i would raise here some of the time and calldown other times. depends on what you think of your opponent. as you guys move up in limits and face tougher opponents, sometimes you are forced to just call down because your opponents tend to read hands better and are more capable of folding and are also much more tricky, taking lines you wouldn't expect them to, so when in doubt calling down is fine.

This is a T quite often. They "improved" to two pair on the turn. I saw this alot at sub 2/4.

i think most layers would go for a c/r on the turn if they had the 7 rather than bet out, and his flop doesn't indicate a 7- raise with middle pair? so i put him on a ten and i raise the turn, call down if 3 bet. basically seems to be the thoughts of most for this hand.

You were all correct. Villain had JT so MHIG [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]. Was just wierd as I have never seen this kind of play at 0.5/1 when someone didnt improve.

Not everyone knows/thinks anbout check-raising though, saw that alot too [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]

No way he has a 7 here. I personally would raise the turn about 65% of the time. The rest of the time I raise the river.
