Didn't feel like reraising, I thought check-call was the best line to let a big PP bluff it off and a lesser ace pay off. What do you think ?

Probably best to raise the turn.

Probably best to raise the turn. [/ QUOTE ] On the flop I planned to do it, but then thought "why ?". This basically tells TT-KK that they're screwed, and a hand that beats me has good chances of stacking me (you really can't tell if a reraise comes from an weaker ace thinking he's good or a hand that beats AK). |

Well if you raise the turn you'll probably get it checked to you... I check behind. If he's got a hand that he can call a substantial raise with then he's probably got a hand that was either ahead before or just caught up.
Since we're in this situation (which isn't that horrible) I think you just check-call like you did. |

Heh... if we're talking about a regular PP 25 donk, they'll be calling with most aces.

I really like this line. Great line to keep pot under control and keep him betting a worse ace. The river is close. It looks like he may have you beat, but a call is not bad since you've under-represented your hand up until this point.

That's what pushed me to call, the under-rep basically.
But I was only beating AJ and down at that point, because I don't think any other dominated hands are betting the river like that. I'm also expecting a tie about 25% of the time. |
