Default AK check-up

Didn't feel like reraising, I thought check-call was the best line to let a big PP bluff it off and a lesser ace pay off. What do you think ?

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (9 handed) converter

UTG ($7.77)
UTG+1 ($32.05)
MP1 ($27.82)
Hero ($27.7)
MP3 ($24.75)
CO ($28.5)
Button ($37.85)
SB ($8.57)
BB ($11.83)

Preflop: Hero is MP2 with K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. SB posts a blind of $0.1.
1 fold, UTG+1 raises to $0.75, 1 fold, Hero calls $0.75, 4 folds, BB calls $0.50.

Flop: ($2.35) A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (3 players)
BB checks, UTG+1 bets $2, Hero calls $2, BB folds.

Turn: ($6.35) 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)
UTG+1 bets $4, Hero calls $4.

River: ($14.35) Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players)

Final Pot: $34.35

Probably best to raise the turn.

On the flop I planned to do it, but then thought "why ?".

This basically tells TT-KK that they're screwed, and a hand that beats me has good chances of stacking me (you really can't tell if a reraise comes from an weaker ace thinking he's good or a hand that beats AK).

I don't think a worse hand is calling a decent sized turn raise.

Well if you raise the turn you'll probably get it checked to you... I check behind. If he's got a hand that he can call a substantial raise with then he's probably got a hand that was either ahead before or just caught up.

Since we're in this situation (which isn't that horrible) I think you just check-call like you did.

Heh... if we're talking about a regular PP 25 donk, they'll be calling with most aces.

I really like this line. Great line to keep pot under control and keep him betting a worse ace. The river is close. It looks like he may have you beat, but a call is not bad since you've under-represented your hand up until this point.

That's what pushed me to call, the under-rep basically.
But I was only beating AJ and down at that point, because I don't think any other dominated hands are betting the river like that.

I'm also expecting a tie about 25% of the time.
