Default Hit my set on river, but 3rd flush card also hits

Was not sure how to pay this hand. It appeared as if the villain was chasing... see for yourself... what should I have done?

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t15 (8 handed) converter

UTG (t975)
Hero (t1020)
MP1 (t760)
MP2 (t875)
CO (t2270)
Button (t710)
SB (t680)
BB (t710)

Preflop: Hero is UTG+1 with 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].
UTG calls t15, Hero calls t15, 3 folds, Button calls t15, SB completes, BB checks.

Flop: (t72.50) J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (5 players)
SB checks, BB checks, UTG checks, Hero bets t75, Button folds, SB calls t75, BB folds, UTG folds.

Turn: (t222.50) A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets t125, SB calls t125.

River: (t472.50) 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero folds.

Final Pot: t472.50

Somehow the converter messed up, but villain went all-in on the river, and I folded. Do you agree?

since everyone checked I thought I might have best hand. Are you saying never make a move for pot when board misses and you have position (and board is somewhat favorable for me w/ 2 undercards?)

its not the case that everyone has checked - the button is behind you.

i just think that most people wouldn't get involved in this hand past the flop. there's too much to lose, too little to gain.

I mean you didn't get a set on the flop, don't bet the flop.

You didn't get the set on the turn, don't bet or call the turn.

As far as I can tell you kinda HAVE to call that river because you already invested so much money and now you got what you were looking for.

But the play before that was wrong. And if you folded on the river, that made you wrong on every street.

he means don't bet the flop. it's more trouble than its worth to stab at that.
