Default River raise

10-20 Player on my right who seems to raise often on my blind, pops it from the button when everyone folds to him. I have JJ. It is heads up.

Flop: Kc, 3c, 8h. He bets (as always) and I raise, he calls.

Turn: Kc, 3c, 8h, 6d. We both check.

River: Kc, 3c, 8h, 6d, Jc. He bets and I raise. He re-raises and I call to see his AQ clubs.

He chuckled at my raise and commented to the table about the great action at this table. I said the raise will usually make money. True or False?

True.

Why'd you want him and the rest of the table to think you know the right time to make a raise, though? Did you also show them your Jacks?
