Default Unleashing the LAG within, or I turn g00t

The hand plays itself after the turn, but I'm interested in hearing about people's reaction to the flop raise. It feels too aggressive, but no other action seems better.

Villain is a TAG, and a regular at this site and level.

Fold preflop. Everything else looks fine.

If its a loose table, I see nothing wrong with that call

No, preflop limp is fine. Reread SSHE.

SSHE says you can limp in MP in a tight game here.

I don't think the pot is big enought to show this kind of aggression.

if the bettor was in the SB or BB, and you had a few callers before the raise, then yes, I like it. By raising here, its as if you want to isolate the bettor, a no-no given your read.

EDIT - no-no almost always unless villian is a LAG/chronic bluffer

eh, I'm mucking it for now in that spot cause I don't feel comfortable yet with K9s postflop. Eventually I will though.

(I think you'll get better responses if you don't post the whole hand. I would have ended the hand on the flop where you raised.)

Let me think.

I don't think I like the raise. You can't really clean up your outs. I'm mainly thinking of QJ as your threat if you hit your King. They would certainly call two bets with an OE Str8 draw.

So i guess it's the gut shots your chasing out, but they shouldn't be calling anyway.

Your ahead of a semi bluff - as I think a bet from this early on is more often than not a possible Jack more than QT or something of that nature.

I think calling the flop is better here. I'd probably fold had it not been for the Back Door draws you have. I want to see a turn card, but not for two bets.

I play the same though sometimes I raise preflop. Folding preflop is just silly.

I would like one less seat between me and the button with this hand. Eventually I will though.
