Default AKo on the bubble with maniac

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t200 (5 handed) converter

Me being the other big stack here this guy has been pushing everytime I come into a pot or anytime I make a raise. Is this the right play to just go ahead and fold here. I am 99.9% sure I did the right thing here just want some reassurance. I know AK is a great hand 5 handed but with the top 4 paying here I think folding is correct since he has me covered too. This is a 2 table tourney and the people in the Multi table tourneys were no help and said to post here. The pay out for this tourney is 1st-80 2nd-60 3rd-40 4th-20.

Hero (t4975)
Button (t2890)
SB (t6750)
BB (t2920)
UTG (t2465)

Preflop: Hero is MP with A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], K [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].
1 fold, Hero raises to t700, Button calls t700, SB raises [t6750], 1 fold, Hero folds, Button folds.

Final Pot: t1700

If he's pushing every time, I call there.

My thinking here is I have one caller behind me and if one of them has a PP I am at best a coin flip. I wasnt ready for a coin flip and didnt want to get involved with the other big stack and take the chance of being behind going into the hand. I just had one of those feelings say lay it down. Also, on a side note the maniac ended up finishing 5th and I proudly won this tourney.

IMO, the answer to your question lies in this question: are you playing for 4th? It's $20. I don't want the $20. I want the $80. If you want the $20, fold and I guess wait for AA or KK. If he's raising EVERY TIME you get in the pot, and you want to lay down AK, what other hand could you possibly be waiting for? You can never play a hand other than from the BB where he won't have a chance to act after you, so it's not like you can just push on someone else's blind.

Get your chips in there and knock him back down to size.
