Dunno why but I had this feeling that he didn't have the str.

I called and he showed J8 for a pair of eights!!!

haha.. nice. It's great when some players don't think you can have an overpair. He probably thought he had the best hand...

Trying not to be results oriented, but this is an easy call getting 1:2.8. I think he has 8 8, 8 7 flopped 2-pair or under set quite often. I mean c'mon. What could he have the just rivered you? 4 4? 9 9?

EDIT: Didn't see his VPIP. Guess that widens his range of hands a bit. I still call though.

flop and turn play just doesn't seem like a 9 here.

but then again villain is maniac.

4 is possible but so is many combinations of 2 pair or sethands.
