Default new orleans poker

My wife and I are headed to New Orleans for a few days. I was thinking of staying at Harrahs. Do any of you guys know anything about their poker room or their poker room rates for players at the 10-20 limit and below?
Thanks

They have a hotel at Harrahs??? I didn't even know that. As for their room... they spread Omaha high-only mainly. I think they also spread a half-and-half Omaha/Holdem game. My information is about a year old and might be a tad out of date.

Yeah, New Orleans sucks for poker. Harrahs spreads a Omaha high game almost exclusively. Very rarely a hold'em game, and only on a Friday or Saturday night, according to the floorman when I was there.

I think they may spread a little 7stud as well.

Harrah's New Orleans does NOT have a hotel with its facility. My understanding is that if you call them, they will recommend some local hotels in the area. Expect to pay a pretty high rate for a decent hotel. Most of the hotels near the casino are among the highest of any vacation destination i travel to. jb

If you can get there you will find much better games in Biloxi.
