Default One problem with Law and Order....

is that if you see a recognizable actor in the beginning, you know they did it.
This sucks.

Not always! I was watching the Memorial Weekend Marathon, and saw Kevin Smith in an episode, and he didn't do anything!

The show often isn't about who did it, but whether they'll be convicted or not.

My apologies for hijacking, but in the original Star Trek series there was a similar occurence.

If you saw a new crewman in the show's opening scene, you just knew he was going to bite the dust before the first commercial.
