Default Computer Question

I recently bought a new Dimension from Dell. It's arrival is expected tomorrow. The CD burner on my current computer is fuqqed up and won't burn anything. Is there a way to connect the computers and transfers files through USB cables or something?

A couple of options off the top of my head:

a)Take out the hard drive in the current computer and put it in the the dell, copy files to dell's hard drive, then replace.

b) hook dell and current computer up with router (if you have broadband), transfer files over the network

c) If you don't have a router, make/buy (but I STRONGLY suggest "make", if you have working fingers) a crossover cable. That way you can connect the two computers directly.

*edit: googling revealed a way to do it over USB.
