ok...i'll take a stab.

one of the rare occasions where i think a raise PF might be in order -- only one initial caller.

the problem w/ 88-TT where middle-pairs could become over pairs, is that with the blinds (or 'a blind' in this case) coming along - the 'perfect' flop is often to the liking of said blind(s) - or at least more worrysome to you....not to mention the out of position problems you face with MP1.

let's assume you bump PF 3-4x. BB is out of there most likely. if MP1 comes along, you can then proceed to the flop with 'at least' the knowledge that overcards suck -- but possibly eliminating 'the low cards suck too!". if you do find yourself isolated with MP1 you could/should push this flop (decent pot already with the called 3-4x), check/raise, or anywhere in between. with overs on the flop you could lead out for 1/2-3/4 and give it up to a raise, or check/fold w/ a call.

back to this hand. BB call on the flop could be a number of things....flush drawing, not-so-obvious straight drawing, slow playing a set...who knows. i don't fault you for slowing down with the overcard on the turn --though it wouldn't be logical that it improved his hand..unless it field a screwy-ass looking straight. could just be a non-believing defiant bastard calling the flop bet with an over or two (J?). anyway, with his reraise - i'd give it up. you dump T270, but still early.
