Both players solid, somewhat tight.

Was this weaktight?

re-raise all-in IMO, ure hand is good enough and ure stack is shallow enough.

Had it been heads up I definitely would have but the coldcaller scared me... I think I am getting pps <88 to fold if I push... and more often I am coinflip/owned when called.

How is this line of thinking?

Push. Most likely button called because he had a few extra chips lying around. The pot is plenty big and you sure as heck want a lot of hands that would have called to fold (e.g. KQ, AQ).

this hand is a difficult one for me as with 20 bb, i am not a big fan of coming over the top of a raise....but the 4 handedness turns jj into a premium hand....i push preflop but am not happy about it.

edit: i like your play on the flop...and after reviewing it maybe this is one of those few times that it becomes correct to reraise to ~1000 with the intent of calling a push (which becomes correct due to opponents willingness to make this play on you with 77+, ak and aq)...that being said, this situation doesnt come up all that often. im really curious to see what some of the 109 and 215ers say about this one.

Not bad, but a push wouldn't have been bad either. You are right that you would not be a big favorite if you pushed pf and were called.

So you gave up your fold-equity for the security of seeing a flop before you commit your chips. Your stack is deep enough that wanting to live to fight another day isn't such a bad idea.

I push both preflop. Jacks are the fifth best starting hand in poker and you're only four-handed. I've seen people push much worse on the bubble.

Didn't notice I posted it twice. For some reason my computer
and been double 'pasting' everything when I control c then control v.

Odd.

Anyway, NYC, I think the flat call is more scary than a push in that situation.

I've found the "UTG Monster Limp" is a play that is far too esoteric for the $11s. Maybe higher levels have more sophistication ijn that regard. What buy-in was this? $33? Dunno...
