I don't think it makes much sense for him to play a high pocket pair like this, unless he anticipates your assuming that he is pushing with a draw. I'd guess at worst you're up against overs and a flush draw, which you are even money with (15 outs twice, even money yes?). If that's the case you're getting the right price to call.

a) raising with 7's preflop b) calling a reraise with 7's preflop? Is this some kind of 55's magic I don't know about? |

Against a slightly LAG player, I call almost immediately. Against a typical player, I don't know.
In the 55's, your stack is bigger, and you need to push smaller edges. Calling the reraise is easy considering your huge pot odds. |
