Default Misplayd (?) set.

I have played alot with villian and he is good. One of the few players at Party NL50 I respect. The flop I will raise more times than not, however this was one of the times I decided just to call. Horrible? My main quiestion is, do you bet the river?

I think calling the flop and raising the turn is fine especially with only a straight draw on board. I'm probably betting about 1/2 pot on the river, something that QJ or two pair could call. This is with the limited info you gave.

You say you have played alot with this guy. What types of hands would you expect to see when he limps UTG?

His pre-flop standards are like mine, maybe a bit looser. He may limp PP:s, SC:S. He is not likely to limp high off suit cards and crap like that. It could be a high PP looking for a limp-raise.

So do you think his range of hands is something like QJs, 9Ts, 78s, AA-99 (probably though out JJ after the turn action). I don't see why he would try and get tricky with a check if he has a straight or higher set. I doubt he puts you on 78 after the turn action. He might be trying to check call so you bet worse hands than his pair or two-pair.

I've rarely seen somebody check the nuts at the river.

I value bet that river almost everytime.

dude betting the river is a no-brainer. he wasn't on a gutshot and he didnt call on the turn with the nuts and then check the river.

i also raise the flop.
