Anybody got any behind the scenes information?
Wed 6/1 Will the Spelling Bee winner be male or female? 1 Male -171 2 Female +161 Wed 6/1 How long will the final word be 3 Over 9.5 letters -135 4 Under 9.5 letters +125 Wed 6/1 Will the winner be listed as home schooled? 5 Yes +260 6 No -290 Wed 6/1 Will winner be from state won by Kerry (non US=no) Will winner be listed from a state who's electoral votes were won by John Kerry in the 2004 Presidential Election. Non US competitors count in the no. 7 Yes +113 8 No -123 Wed 6/1 Will winning speller be 14yrs old on/before 6/2 05 9 Yes +120 10 No -130 Wed 6/1 Will winner have glasses on for final word? 11 Yes +150 12 No -170 Wed 6/1 Will winning word contain an 'e' ? 13 Yes -160 14 No +150 |

Or maybe I am just under the false impression that a large percentage of these kids are home schooled. And assuming the final word is random you could probably get an official list and find out what % of them are 10 letters or more. |

I think the homeschooled one looks like a good yes bet.
They need one for the winner having Over/Under 1.5 friends and their Mom does not count. |
