The Royal Tenenbaums
The purpose of this poll is to discover whether or not The Royal Tenenbaums truly is a "love it or hate it" movie. I have heard it called this many times, and while I do indeed love the movie, I think it is possible to harbor neutral feelings toward it.
Anyway, for what it's worth, I think this is a great film and the suicide scene is one of the better-done scenes I've seen in the past few years.

Hated it, but so many people liked it I feel like I might have missed something about it. Either way I was pretty stoned when I saw it in the theater and thought it was dumb.

[/ QUOTE ] There's a lot of very subtle humor. The first time I saw it I was meh. By about the third or fourth time I thought it was hilarious, and now after probably six or seven viewings it's one of my favorite comedies ever.
