15/30 at Wynn, 3 handed.
Hero has A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] in the BB Button raises, SB calls, hero calls (I don't play much shorthanded, who 3bets?) flop is 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] SB bets, hero calls, button calls. turn is 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] SB checks, hero bets, button raises, hero 3bets, button calls. river is J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] hero bets, button calls. Now, after he called, I said "trip eights" and reached for my card cap in preparation to show. The button threw his cards hard at the dealer before I had a chance to table my hand. I'm beleieve I know don't have to table my hand to win the pot, since I'm the last one with cards. Who actualyl doesn't show their hand here? |

Unless I knew something about the PF raiser, I think I'm reraising with A8.
Is there a reason you didn't raise the flop? Would that be an obvious "I have an 8" raise? Of course, you got 3 bets in on the turn. If he mucks his hand, I don't show my cards unless someone makes me do it. Hold onto it until you get the pot, then dump unseen unless you're required to show the hand, as you would have to in most places. |

show your cards, and it's not even close.
