Another interesting bubble hand
$215 SNG.
Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t500 (4 handed) converter Button (t600) SB (t4460) Hero (t785) UTG (t4155) Preflop: Hero is BB with 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Button raises to t600 (All-In)</font>, <font color="#CC3333">SB raises to t1300</font>, Hero calls t285 (All-In).... Kind of blah, huh? The shortest stack (button) had Q [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] Q [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. The big stack SB had T [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] T [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. The point of this post is that after thinking a little about the possible scenarios, I probably would have called even if I knew their holdings. Flameworthy?

Well I would call just because you're getting massive pot odds with 2 lives cards and all you have to hope for is that shorty doesn't win.
But having known what they had, why would you call. Your cards were live but you need to 2 pair or better. Shorty is most likely not going to lose QQ vs. TT. You will have no FE the next hand, but a random hand vs. a random hand is almost certainly than 2 overpairs, no? Could be wrong ...

n/m, I thought the BB was 300 not 500. At 500 I think it's definitely an autocall, no matter what they have. Do people think it makes sense to fold at 300? Granted, you're going to be shorty, but is it better to try and double up twice consecutively or walk into a hand where you're hoping to hit a 2 pair or better?

[/ QUOTE ] Assume that the short stack (button) has TT, and the SB/big stack is the one with QQ. Thus, even if I fold my 94s in the BB, I'll freeroll into 3rd > 80% of the time. I'd probably still call with my 94s, given all the possible scenarios...
