One main thing I'd have done differently is to bet more on your original flop bet (100-125), however one good thing about flopping a set on a board like this is that it's hard to do anything too wrong.

Yeah I don't like your initial bet..even though you're probably going all in with this anyway.
I don't think you're wrong for pushing, you can't be looking for "monsters under the bed," as I have seen too many people push with only draws whether it's flush or straight, or because they had TPTK even though top pair on the board is just an 8.

Would anyone else here consider calling the reraise on the flop and pushing on the turn when the "scary" possible straight card hits?

I highly doubt someone in the CO would have called with 5/7 or 3/5 but I have seen worse when my Queens got popped by 6/9 suited after he called not only a raise but a reraise and then an all in on the flop with only a flush draw against my set *of course getting there on the river*

No turn card scares me, and being scared of a possible straight is very weak. If your opponent does happen to have a straight draw, you should charge him through the nose immediately. You definitely want to get as much money in against such a hand as possible, right now.
