Hmm this is actually an interesting hand. IMO, dont call the mini raise PF to begin. You are calling off 1/7 of ur stack. You should be in Push/Fold mode. Unless he is a god awful player, hes gonna know hes pot committing himself. (then, again, it is a 10+1). This is not really a stop n go situation cus you have no folding equity. So why call the mini raise. Would you call an all in? Even if you hit the board how do u know u have the hand on a J high or Q high board? You would be essentially calling to look for T98 or QQJ board. That being said, I think the post flop bet isnt that bad. In a 10+1 you will see mini raises with AX or low pocket. WIth any sort of read on villian i might do the same. You just got unlucky.

My thoughts in regards to the minraise were exactly what yours were... Ax or low pp. I would have folded if I didn't hit the board, or if an ace had flopped and I had hit the board. I figured, probably should have calculated it out to verify, that I was greater than 3.5:1 to hit the flop. I figure: if i hit the flop and win the 450 chips or double up, I'm put in a much stronger position. If I miss the flop I fold and am not in much worse position. So that was the lgoic behind my preflop play.

I didn't mean this to come out as a whine about the beat. Stuff Like that doesn't really bother me. Was just curious to get thoughts about preflop and postflop play. Would have used converter and omitted results but it never shows betting on anything postflop.

Assuming the preflop raise shows some kind of strength, you were right to push off the flop and pray he didnt hit the king... which he didn't. Unfortunately it's just a bad beat that the ace fell..
