Default Attending the WSOP

I'm going to be in Vegas during the main event at the WSOP...does anyone know how attending the event works? Is admission free? Do you need to buy tickets? If so, through Harrah's or someone else? Thanks!

There are no tickets or anything, you just show up and look at people. At binions in the past there was a clearly designated rail that people gawk from with bleachers around the final table. I imagine this year the number of gawkers will be enormous.

Picture taking is not allowed, and its very rude to talk to players while they are playing.

i was wondering about this as well.

with 2000 players or so for each 'heat' or 'day1' plus the TV cameras for ESPN (and maybe other cameras) are they really going to have room to allow spectactors?

Maybe they will have the ESPN 'featured' table in a room where people can sit in the audience. It looked like they did this a bit with the USPC.

At the WPO in Tunica they didn't really have room for spectators in the tournament room and wouldn't let you in. It was easy to just say you were playing and they would let you in. Especially since there were ring-games on the other side of the room. But if you told them, "hey...I'm just coming to watch my friend play" they would tell you that wasn't allowed.

It will be interesting to see how they handle those who want to spectate.

The Rio has a very large amount of convention space. Depending on how many rooms they use, there will probably be plenty of space. When it gets down to the last couple days at the Horseshoe (based on the "gawking factor") it will probably be really uncomfortable for both the players, and the spectators. Can you guess which I hope to be at that point?

Does anybody know if they would card a younger looking person who's just attempting to watch? No playing at all in the casino whatsoever, just wants to railbird.
