Hand 1: Unless UTG has been doing something really crazy, I would say this one is -EV. What would he push with here? He really shouldn't be in panic mode yet. Ran through Eastbay's program using the tight (66+, ATs+, AJo+) which seems reasonable, it shows it negative. You have to loosen up UTG to any PP, A9s+,ATo,KJs,KQo to make this a +ev play. You would need a read to know if you think he would push all these.

Hand 2: Push. It's a push even if it was folded to you.

Later,
Rick

Hand 1 I let go. Hand I'm pushing.

In hand 1 without any reads I'm giving UTG credit for being at least a semi-decent player who knows you need stronger hands to move in with in early position than in late position. You've still got a decent stack size at the table and are in good shape. You'll be down to around 1300 if you fold the next cycle, but I suspect there's going to be a lot of action with hald the table's stacks below 4BB.

Hand 1 is O.K. UTG is shortstacked, and knows that if he has to fold his blinds, he'll be crippled. Now is the time for him to make a move. I think he'd push any ace here, so I play.

Hand 2 is an obvious push.

both are easy pushes, or atleast at the $30s/$50s on party. If UTG is competant on hand 1 he could be pushing a very wide range of hands trying to avoid losing his future FE from taking a blind. I don't need eastbays program to see that pushing this would be easy if UTG had folded, and I think that utg is much more likely to be donating to you here than to have you crushed
