Default does gabe kaplans income rely on poker?

just asking cuz he seems to play in many events, and i suspect his acting proceeds from 30 years ago have long dried up

Welcome Back Kotter is still shown in syndication, and he surely gets residual checks for that. He prolly made a lot of cash during it's run as well, enough to invest for the future.

Gabe also has very good business skills and is a stock trader. I've heard he does very well in the market.

Gabe also make a ton of dough on the speaking circut and he still does stand-up now and again (which by the way is great).

i saw gabe perform and he actually is really funny... as for his poker announcing skills, well, mkonik and nchad should listen up... gabe not only tries to tell us what players are thinking but he is willing to guess wrong... makes it feel like he is giving us his real opinion and not just saying that every move that works out is a good one

This is where the bulk of his income is earned. I saw an interview with him 5 or so years ago.

Does Gabe ever do commentating anymore? I remember he did the WSOP on ESPN several years ago, but thats it. How long did he do the WSOP? And how long has ESPN been televising the series. I dont remember ever seeing it before 2001 or so, but now since the big poker boom, i have seen footage from past years.
