Default I didn\'t like this how do you play it?

I have A9dd in the SB of a empire 2/4 game. It's folded to me and I am not really payin attention so I just call, BB checks. I have no notes on BB.

FLOP A,7,3 (all spades)

I check, he checks.

Turn 9o

I bet, he raises, I 3-bet, he caps, I call.

River 2s

He bets $.50 all in and I call. I think I shoulda have bet the flop and am unsure of the turn 3-bet. What do you think? Thanks in advance.

yeh bet the flop and play from there, if he raises you on the flop then you might save yourself from getting capped on the turn. His strong action could be a lot of different things, could be a pair and a high spade or something. could just be an ace. but your hand isnt so strong that you should slow play it on that board at the flop i think.

you have to see showdown here though i think.
