Pushing at the bubble (a check-up)
I'm less than satisfied with my bubble play, so I'd like to have your opinion on a few hands. As always, explaining the reason behind your decision is always appreciated.

Re: Pushing at the bubble (a check-up)
OP, do you know how to do $EV/ICM analysis? If not, you should learn. It will make your decisions much easier.

Yeah, but only to *call* all-ins...

Yeah, but only to *call* all-ins... [/ QUOTE ] So you know how to do addition, but not subtraction? Time to learn. Pushing analysis is far more beneficial than calling analysis. Time to learn. |

You're right, it's the same thing. I wish I had eastbay's program to make my life easier...

At a quick glance hands 1-3 are very easy pushes. |

Re: Pushing at the bubble (a check-up)
1,2,3 I like as pushes.
4 depends on BB. If he seems to be trying to hang on, it is a push. If SB has been really loose, it could foil this push too. Also, if you have already pushed a bunch, you might pass this one up. 5 is tough, but I think a call. I would do the ICM on 5, but Scuba has assigned that work to suited_ace and he should probably do it. |

Re: Pushing at the bubble (a check-up)
#5 is a call, and it's not at all close. There are 730 chips in the pot, and it costs you 330 to call. SB is (correctly) pushing any two cards here. This call is significantly +EV.
BTW, the button's play in hand 5 is terrible, whatever his cards were. |
