Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t300 (4 handed) converter

Button (t3641)
SB (t1654)
BB (t1230)
Hero (t1475)

Preflop: Hero is UTG with A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].

Would you push? Why?

Yes, I'd push this. With blinds 150/300 and 5xBB, you don't have a ton of time to screw around waiting for killer hands. It's quite possible that A6o is the best hand 4-handed.

I'd push as well.

Given the position of the big stack and the size of blinds, you are argueably the most desperate of the 4.

Because the BB is shortstacked as well, and there's a good chance one of the other players will attack his BB.

So you'd rather give them the opportunity to take your chips?

And, FWIW, BB is not shortstacked at this point. He can fold this hand.
