Preflop: Hero is SB with A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].
3 folds, Button raises to t2310, 2 folds.

Final Pot: t2610

This guy was very aggressive. Normally this is a very easy fold for me. But I'm going to have to rethink this one. Thought I'd apply some $EV analysis. Any thoughts before I get started?

Could very aggressive mean any two on an open push from the button here? Or just loose 22+,Ax,K9+,QT+,JTs or something?

BB to call with JJ+, AK - maybe down to 99+, AJs,AQ+

edit: I expect the math to say call.

I would normally call against a super-aggressive here, but this time I just wait for him to walk onto the big stack after the BB has been eliminated (or maybe even before)

i would also want to know how the big stack has been playing

if you think he will tighten up a lot on the bubble then i would lean towards a call more... but if he's the type who might reraise you're steals then it might just be better to fold, since it'll be a lot tougher to take advantage of your big stack on the bubble.

The big stack was playing very tight at this point.

I don't know how many of you play pokerstars, but the $55+5s and the $27+2s play very aggressive when it gets down to the high blinds. I can't tell you how many times my QQ gets called by A6s. (Sigh, and I still lose a lot there too).

I think his range is very loose, but not any two. Any pair, most aces, probably any two broadway, K9s.

I think I have been folding too many hands on pokerstars. The blinds raise so fast, and I don't get enough AK+ premium hands. I am beginning to think that I need to start calling with AQ, maybe AJ, and maybe KQs [img]/images/graemlins/blush.gif[/img].

Homework, and math to do. Won't get to until later tonite though.
