A Lesson in not giving up
Last night I'm playing an PLO/8 SNG on pokerroom (those are my favorites these days).
I take a bad beat, my boat I made on the turn, with my good low draw, loses the whole pot when he hits his few outs to a higher boat on the river. We are 4 handed, so I'm sure the other players are waiting for me to bust here. I am left with $34 in the BB with blinds at $100/$200. I play my random 4 cards, and scoop to get up to $102. Next hand I'm in the SB- and call my last $2 after posting. I scoop again, and triple up to $306. I'm now on the button - and push when UTG folds to me. I push in my $306, SB folds, and BB calls (of course). MHIG again, and I'm up to $712. UTG I get crap - so I fold. In my BB, I get another good hand, UTG Folds, Button Calls, SB Completes, I push, Button Calls, SB Folds. Again MHIG - and I am now up to about $1600. I fold my SB, and double up again from the button to go back over $3,000. Now this isn't a fairytale, and I still busted out in 3rd - but I figured after having 1/6 of a BB - geting back over $3,000 was a feat in itself. It's true - all you need is a chip and a chair. |

Nah, with a lot of luck all you need is a chip, you can do without the chair.
