Default VCD Question

Just downloaded a movie (Hitch) via BitTorrent -- it seems to be in VCD format. Never downloaded a movie in this format before (previously only downloaded DVD rips). The ~99 files were packaged as .rar files for both "CD1" and "CD2". I decompressed the very first file in "CD1" and played it directly thru my winamp as it was an .avi file. The video played fine but there was no sound. Speakers checked out fine.

Any suggestions?

Sounds more like a DIVX or XVid file than VCD (with the .avi extension and all--VCDs are a type of mpeg.)

Get the program "gspot" which will tell you what type of file you have and what codecs you'll need to play it.
