Default WMV file compression

I have to write a 3 page paper on the compression method of WMV files. I've tried google and some other places, but I can't find any info. Anyone here know anything that might help me? It's due next Wednesday so I need help fast! And no I didn't wait till the last minute. The professor just assigned it a few days ago. You obviously didn't look too hard.

Edit: I'm assuming you understand video compression basics.

Actually no. We just very briefly went over compression in general in class. I need something describing how it compresses.
