Any Info on Trop AC Thurs Tournament?

Anyone ever played in the Thurs Nite Hold'em tournament at the Trop AC? How many players do they get? How is the quality of play?

I'm new to poker. I've only played online and am looking for some B & M experience.

I'm thinking of driving down from Philly after work. Is it worth the trip?

It's listed as $15 + $10, $500 guaranteed. I'm used to playing online, so the $10 seems way out of line.

It is a low limit tournament full of mostly low limit players. There usually is a large turn out often 100+. If you are looking to get some live-play tournament experience, it is an excellent oppurtunity for you. As for the 40% off the top, well if your looking to make your living playing in the Thursday night tournaments at The Trop you made a wrong decision. Come down early and get in some live action. Living so close to AC you should probably start coming down anyway.

They have a tournament every friday afternoon rotation from limit the first week and NLHE on even weeks. How many ppl. play in these? Thanks

P.S. I think that they are 100 200 300 depending on what week it is.
