Default Diet For A New America

A while ago I started a higly posted in and viewed thread on the book Diet For A New America and told everyone to read it. Someone on AIM told me the other day that they read it because of that thread and said "it changed my life". Anyone else read that book, thoughts on it? It is hard for me to see how someone could read this book and not be blown away.

Uh. I was overweight in highschool. Hit college and had difficulty scheduling one meal a day. The weight just dissappears. I thought dieting would be hard, but once I stopped eating as frequently as I used to, I found I wasnt as hungry as I used to be.

I read it shortly after becoming a vegetarian, and it's one reason (of many) that I've remained vegetarian.

I have eaten a 1lb bag of M&M's in the last 2 nights while playing poker on-line. Is that covered in the book?
