Default Baseball-Which is tougher?

Another hitter hit for the cycle yesterday which begs the question. In the history of baseball. there have been:

-248 players have hit for the cycle
-232 pitchers have thrown a no-hitter

Which is tougher?

No hitter. You can mess up at the plate, and still come back and hit for the cycle. One mistake from a pitcher, and you've lost your no hitter, with no chance of getting it back.

This is easy... no-hitter is 'tougher'.

The cycle is more about getting lucky enough to have 4 different kinds of hits in a game. Obviously 4 hrs in a game is more impressive, or even 2 hrs and 2 triples, or 2hrs and a triple and double... etc.. but those aren't technically 'cycles' so the actual amount of these things happening are way low.

a cycle is about having a good game while getting lucky. nobody goes up the plate and says "im going to try and hit a triple now", it just happens.

How about that guy who gave up his cycle by running to 3rd after a hit in the 9th inning (maybe 8th) of a close game. That dude was a bad ass. He could've stopped at 2nd, and put his name in the books, but no, he kept going and played the game right by taking the extra base him team needed.

I know it was recent, but I don't remember the guy, the teams, or who won. I hope his team did though.

Consider this though.
Every game there is 9 players from each team with a chance for hitting the cycle compared to 2 pitchers throwing a ho-hitter. Based on those numbers, wouldn't the cycle be more difficult?

Yes, the cycles is more difficult in terms of random odds, but throwing a no hitter is tougher in terms of skill.
