Default KJo hand Lvl 3

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t50 (8 handed) converter

CO (t565)
Button (t655)
SB (t1615)
BB (t2675)
UTG (t405)
UTG+1 (t510)
MP1 (t775)
Hero (t800)

Preflop: Hero is MP2 with K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].
UTG calls t50, 2 folds, Hero calls t50, 2 folds, SB completes, BB checks.

Flop: (t200) 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (4 players)
SB checks, BB bets t175, UTG folds, Hero raises to t350, SB folds, BB calls t175.

Turn: (t900) 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players)
BB bets t425, Hero calls [t400] .

River: (t1325) A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)

Final Pot: t1325

Should I have pushed after the flop and not just miniraised? I usually don't raise this preflop with a limper, especially from UTG, but I don't think folding it is right.

I would fold preflop. The t125 in the pot isn't a big enough reward for the risk of playing this trash hand. Save your chips for when the blinds go up.

At this level, in this position, I muck preflop. KJo is a pretty marginal holding early on and it can get you in trouble, as with this hand.

Going by just how the blinds are structured in the party sng I think you have to play this hand. Looks like you played it correctly, but I do beleive you shoud have raised more than the minimum.

What was your goal with the minraise? Were you trying to extract more chips from a hand you thought was inferior, or trying to discourage a draw from coming along? The minraise might do well with the former but it's horrendous at the latter, usually.

No way. the blinds rise pretty fast on Party, but there's no reason to risk all your chips on lousy hands in the early stages.

I was trying to extract more chips from him since he was the chip leader, I figured he had a K with an inferior kicker. Turns out I was right except that he hit his 6 on the turn.
