Autopsies For Profit
Here's a link to a kinda funny story. web page Autopsies are interesting and can be fun if the smell isn't too bad, but I don't think I'd pay admission. Pathologists can be kind of sick, the guy in the story seems to be no exception. Favorite line in the story - using the German woman because none of the British volunteers were dead yet. Remember "Liver Donors" or "I'm not dead yet." from a certain British comedy troupe?

Re: Autopsies For Profit
HDPM,
In 1971 Stan Brakhage, the experimental filmmaker, beat these guys to the punch. His film called The Act of Seeing with One's Own Eyes is a half-hour presentation of an autopsy. Or, rather, a lot of slicing and dicing, with the camera pulling back to reveal an autopsy is taking place. For the squeamish, I recommend his Dog Star Man instead. BTW, "autopsy," from the Greek, means "the act of seeing with one's own eyes." John |
