I think the fetish came from selling shoes. I was a 17 year old student at the time and I remember on a couple occasions being aroused while helping women during a shoe fitting. Nothing wrong with womens feet or liking them. They don't do much for me, but how is a "foot fetish" different from an "ass fetish"? In fact, I was told once that this is not a fetish at all. You can have a shoe fetish, but not a foot fetish.
